Frequently Asked Questions

Q

What is a Lactation Consultant?

A Lactation Consultant is a healthcare professional who specializes in supporting parents with breastfeeding and infant feeding. As an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) - the highest level of lactation cerification - I provide evidence-based guidance on latch, milk supply, pumping, weaning, and feeding challenges. IBCLCs are internationally recognized for their rigorous training, clinical experience, and ongoing certification standards.

Q

What makes you a trusted Guide for providing Parenting support?

I bring a holistic blend of science, experience, and intuition to parenting coaching. I've worked with babies and children my entire life, which naturally shaped my passion for responsive, grounded, and compassionate parenting techniques. Professionally, I have nearly a decade of experience caring for babies and guiding parents in caring for their littles. Academically, during my MSc at McMaster University my final semester was entirely focused on early childhood mental health and development. This allowed me to deepen my understanding of the socioemotioanl needs of young children, and how dyatic attachment shapes long-term wellbeing. Alongside the evidence-based foundation I received in my nursing career and academia, is the ability to connect to a higher source of wisdom, gained through energy and healing-based trainings and certifications. Through this approach, I am able to connect with their energy and intuitively sense what strategies will bring them greater support and alignment.

Q

How can I Prepare for a Virtual Session?

Whether your session is for breastfeeding support, parent guidance, or energy work, taking a little time to prepare can make your experience even more meaningful.

✨Reflect ahead of time. Take some time to observe patterns in your life and/or your child’s. Ask yourself what’s coming up for you and what questions or insights you’d like to explore.

✨Create a calm space: Find a quiet, comfortable spot where you won’t be interrupted.

✨Ground yourself: Spend a few minutes before your session connecting with your breath, being present with your little one, or practicing gratitude.

✨For breastfeeding support, you’re welcome to have your baby with you, or if you prefer more of a dialogue-based session, you can participate without them.

✨You may want to bring water, a warm beverage, and a pen and paper for note-taking. But most importantly, come with an open mind and heart.

Q

Why incorporate an energetic approach into professional services?

I whole-heartedly believe some of the challenges we face while raising children stem from problems that are energetic in nature. Each child and every challenge is unique. There could be transcendental factors beyond this life or realm that influence their physical, emotional, and life experiences. In order to move past the hurdles our children and us face, I may draw from channeled messages to see if there is any spiritual significance. This approach isn't for everyone, and that's okay, it’s important to choose a provider that is best for you. But if you’re open to it, I believe involving Spirit can access a wealth of insight.

Q

What is "Soul-Led" and “Spirit?”

Soul-led is the modality in which we follow our soul, our higher self, our intuition. As here lies so much wisdom.

Spirit is the gentle, soul-affirming energy that flows through all of us—one of many names for divine energy that surpasses our physical realm. Often called the universe or a higher power. It is pure light, never born of darkness, a source of timeless wisdom that connects us to one another and to the world around us. When we tune in, we can feel its presence and guidance, an energy that is available to everyone.

Q

How does healing work, especially from a distance?

This is a very common question! The energetic body is very different from the physical body and is not confined to time and space, allowing healings to occur at any distance. Divine energy is powerful and trust is the key!

Q

Why do you choose to work privately instead of in-hospital?

I absolutely loved my work in the NICU and felt deeply honored to spend eight years supporting the tiniest preemies on their journey to health and empowering their families along the way. Over time, though, my soul outgrew the highly physical and task-oriented aspects of the job. I found the greatest joy through connecting with babies and families; guiding and teaching them and surrounding them with love and gentle energy to support their healing. I want to lean into what brings me joy and inspiration—as we all should—because that is how we walk our highest path.
